"Just the facts, ma'am"
Some of my fellow conservatives have spent the last 2 1/2 years attacking President Obama by calling him a socialist, a communist, or a fascist. Some are convinced he is a secret Muslim who is trying to undermine our security and way of life. Many of these folks questioned his status as a U.S. citizen, suggesting he was born in Kenya or Indonesia.
After watching the vicious and hateful attacks that President George W. Bush endured for eight years, I was convinced that we conservatives should not fall into the same trap by making ridiculous, over the top attacks that assign an evil motive to those whom we disagree with. Unfortunately, some in our party have let their frustration over the floundering economy, soaring debt, and the explosion in the size and scope of government get the best of them. The result is these folks make it easy for our political opponents and the media to demonize and ridicule conservatives, making us all look crazy or extreme. Even worse, it drives moderates and independents, people we must bring to our side, away from positions and causes on which they might otherwise agree with us. Can we all agree that comparing any American politician to Hitler is stupid?
My point is that we don't need to go all "birther." We don't need to question his repeated profession of faith in Jesus Christ. We don't need to compare him to a dictator who murdered more than 10 million people. We don't even need to question his sincerity. All we have to do is focus on his record. As the above video shows, by virtually every measure, American life is worse than when he became President. Granted, he inherited a difficult situation after the financial collapse of 2008, but he has made that situation vastly worse. Most significantly, he has broken faith with those who voted for him. More than any other factor, President Obama was elected on his promise to unite Americans. He promised "change we can believe in." He promised he would lead us to a post-racial, post-partisan America. Instead, he has shown himself to be an incredibly partisan and petty politician who's primary concern is his own reelection. The President has made our case for us by being just plain incompetent. And that's more than enough reason to ferry him into retirement next November.

I especially like how he has put so much effort into encouraging class warfare.
Or how the idea of what is a lot of money has changed on his watch. Remember when a $100 million was a lot? Like "I can buy anything in world" lot? That's not even a billion.
I'd list more, but since I'm not part of the 99% who have to occupy Wall Street I have to go to bed so I can pay my bills.

Yeah, the numbers are just too insane to think about. As far as class warfare, have some sympathy for the president. It's all he can do. He can't talk about his record, so he must demonize the rich, paint the right as crazy and "extreme." Anything to avoid talk of the economy.
well said, well said.
