50 Years of Bond: Top 5 Pre-Title Sequences

No Bond movie today is complete without the pre-title sequence to jump start the story. Virtually all of them pick up with Bond in the middle of a mission, usually unrelated to the rest of the the movie.  It's a brilliant tradition that engages the audience right away, often with some spectacular action or stunt.  Although a few of the lesser Bond films have decent opening scenes, such as MoonrakerOctopussy, and The World is Not Enough, the most thrilling pre-title sequences can be found in the some of the best films.  Here they are.

5.  Crashing a Funeral  Thunderball (1965)

4.  Time to get out  Quantum of Solace (2008)

3.  A Shocking Development  Goldfinger (1964)

2.  God Save the Queen  The Spy Who Loved Me (1977)

1.  One small step for Bond... Goldeneye (1995)
